We bought family farmland in February 2024. It was an incredible sense of blessing and gratitude to be able to keep the farm in the family.

Our Farm, Our Dream

This is a page to honor Rochella’s family history. We (Lee and Rochella) are the third generation to own the beautiful farmland. It is truly a heaven-on-earth place to be. The farm is located in the northern part of Minnesota, on the land of 10,000 lakes.

Rochella grew up on a farm for summers along with her four siblings and parents. The time spent on a farm is never "bored." There are thousands of things to fix, build, create, and work on in the garden.

Fast forward to time as college students at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, where Rochella met and brought her boyfriend, Lee, from Arizona. He fell in love with the farm. We ended up getting married on the farm in 2008!

We married and moved to the southern part of Minnesota for work opportunities at a deaf school. We had a deaf daughter who attended a deaf school. Now, we live full-time in the southern part of Minnesota and live on a farm for the summer.

FAQ

  • Lee and Rochella Jones bought the farm. The property doesn’t have a house on site. Our aim is to rebuild and restore our farm to its glory. The Living Food Farm is no longer in business.

  • We were recently acquired as the owners. We have many dreams and goals for the farm. The first step is to clean up and restore the farm before we jump in next stage.

  • Yes. We will always grow a garden on the farmland. It is in my (Rochella's) blood. Follow us on Instagram for summer 2026 garden updates!
