Magnesium for Womxn
Magnesium is one of the minerals that play a big role in our health. Did you know that our bodies cannot function well without minerals? If one of the minerals is lacking in our body, our nervous system will react by pulling down the fire alarm. It is a warning sign that you need to supply specific minerals to regain function inside the body. That is the most basic concept of how our body works. At this time, let us focus on one mineral: magnesium. It is known as a muscle relaxer and relaxes the body.
For women, we lose some minerals each time we bleed; therefore, women need to supply minerals more than men do. Often, we are being overlooked or belittled by men as “weak” or “fragile” in general when we experience those symptoms of anxiety, depression, muscle spasm, pains, headaches, migraines, poor sleep, or other health issues. However, it is really because of menstruation and through childbirth that we lose a lot of essential minerals to the bleeding and to the child. It’s why we, as women, must pay extra attention to our health and what it needs as a priority.
Often, women develop a variety of symptoms over the years when they could easily prevent them with simple solutions like extra support from supplements and a whole-food diet.
