“Seven Reasons Why You Should Detoxify Your Body Every Year”

Your body is your temple. Our health is essential to our well-being, and also to our mental and emotional states. Each and every human on Earth knows this, yet we ignore this fact. We think our bodies are tough enough to withstand toxicity for decades, and that our bodies can easily be restored when necessary. Wrong! It is much easier to stay healthy than to work to regain health. Here are seven reasons we should detoxify our bodies:

1. Feel better. When you detox, you wake up in the mornings with a vibrant, joyful and energetic feeling in the morning. Even if you are thin, you may have symptoms of toxicity, such as fatigue, brain-fog, aches, digestive issues, allergies and headaches. Many of us do not connect what we’re eating to how we feel. It’s simple: once you detox, you feel better.

2. Remove toxins from the body. Toxins are what make you sick! Toxins are very bad for your body, destroying your youthful skin, disrupting your intestines, and wrecking your hormones through negative emotions. Toxins eat away at a good and healthy immune system, and block blood from flowing smoothly. Toxins can come from environmental agents, cancer-causing chemicals, pesticides, heavy metal, processed foods, and industrial waste. They are then stored in tissues and cells throughout the body, including the brain — often for years!

3. Prevent chronic disease. The body has built-in detox functions, but often is overloaded with toxins and cannot do its job! We have to assist it by detoxifying, getting rid of accumulating toxins. Detoxing assists and improves what our bodies do naturally.

4. Create a stronger immune system. When the body is overloaded with toxins, the immune system weakens. The immune system then becomes vulnerable to colds and flus, affecting our quality of life. We then have to put our daily activities and productivity on hold until we feel better. Detoxing helps strengthen the immune system to ward off sickness.

5. Achieve mental and emotional purity. As we cleanse our bodies to get rid of toxins, our mental state becomes clearer. We’re better able to handle things with a clearer mind, making better decisions. We also can analyze circumstances more accurately, and see things differently, affecting our emotional state to the point where our inner spirit is more grounded.

6. Improve skin quality. Personal care products cause us to age quicker, because they’re loaded with toxins. Free radicals also make our skin appear tired, with baggy eyes and wrinkles. Our appearance is then no longer youthful — but when we detox and cleanse our body, our skin can flourish and restore its glow.

7. Increase energy. After getting rid of the toxins, you will have greater mental, physical, and emotional energy. After detoxifying, people tend to sleep better, and experience more energy during daytime. That will help you tackle your to-do list, go to class or work, and drive your kids to school in a cheerful mood. When your body become free of accumulated toxins, you will feel like you can face anything that life has throw at you with a big smile.
